What people have said about Sue King’s Art
As a sailor I was drawn to Sue Kings wonderful evocative seascapes, and Harty Ferry foreshore paintings. Now lucky to have several of her paintings which give me huge pleasure every time I pass them. Commissioned a painting of my old Georgian house, having seen her Faversham public House series.
Sue’s work is amazing, whether it’s
pubs, the sea, city scapes or the
lady with the umbrella they are
iconic.
Each piece is full of atmosphere
and is truly a wonderful thing to
behold.
I am waiting for them to be
exhibited in the Tate.
Amazing work.
I commissioned Sue to paint a
picture for a friend’s birthday and
the result was absolutely amazing.
Sue did a fabulous job and I
wouldn’t hesitate to recommend
her. If you’re looking for a special
present you won’t go wrong with
a Sue King original. I’ve also got a
couple of her prints which are
similarlv lovelv.
Sue King really captures the
beauties of East Kent. Her realism
and her more abstract pieces
inspired by local landmarks
capture the essence of where we
live perfectly. We currently have 5
of her paintings up on our walls
and we can’t wait to add even
more!
I have had the pleasure of
attending some of Sue’s art
classes which are friendly, fun &
informative. I have also bought
some of her smaller framed prints
of local scenery in Faversham.
Her eye for detail & also the use of
colour are just perfect.
Incredibly talented artist. Best of
all she is such lovely lady. Her
paintings are a joy to look at.
Please do take a look at her page
but be warned its dangerous as
you will fall in love with something
you absouiltly must buy.
About Me
I am an artist based in Faversham, Kent where I live with my husband, daughter and dog. I take my inspiration from our beautiful town with its amazing architecture; the creek, the marshes and the coastline beyond.
My style is varied; from abstract, impressionism to realistic archetectural buildings. I love being able to lose myself painting our beautiful coast with wild seas and dramatic skies; I feel free and in awe of nature.
The amazing architecture of our town is also a constant source of inspiration; from my impressionistic representations to my more detailed watercolour paintings of our mediaeval, Georgian and Elizabethan buildings.
I welcome commissions; maybe you have a favourite place or building that you would like captured for you to enjoy always. Prices vary according to size and type of canvas. If you are local to Faversham, I can be found on Faversham Charter Market on Saturdays mainly selling mounted or framed prints. However if the weather is kind I also bring some original artwork. After a week locked in my studio I love to meet and talk to past and potential customers. Alternatively customers are welcome by appointment to visit my studio at home, conveniently located off Abbey Street in Faversham.
Please do feel free to get in touch with any queries you may have.
House Portraits
I also take house portrait commissions .Please contact me if you would like one for yourself or as a gift for someone else.
